Board an Argosy Cruise on the Argosy's newest boat, the Salish Explorer, to Tillicum Village on Blake Island, where in 1993 President Bill Clinton invited heads of government from member economies, including Japan, to the first Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Economic Leaders' Meeting. The ceremony will feature a live Northwest Native American storytelling performance with 3D visual elements, a buffet meal including traditionally prepared fire-roasted fish, and the opportunity for you and your guests to network with local and foreign dignitaries.

This ceremony is meant to welcome the Japanese guests to Washington State while highlighting local culture, entertainment, and cuisine. It is a staple of the program and offers a wide international platform for networking and exposure. Past Opening Ceremonies have featured ambassadors, governors, city mayors, and local company CEOs and representatives.

Tickets for the Opening Ceremony may be purchased at at a later date.
