Japan-America Society Night in Tacoma
Tacoma and the South Sound area share a rich history with Japan that dates back to the turn of the century. We're celebrating these important cultural ties with a family night out with the Tacoma Rainiers at Cheney stadium. Enjoy food, fun, games, and history! Before the game we'll learn how the ports of Tacoma and Seattle went from being rivals to allies and how that shaped Washington's trade with Japan. Made possible with support from the Japan Foundation Center for Global Partnership.
Featured Speaker:
Tay Yoshitani, Retired Port of Seattle CEO.
Greetings:
Ms. Marilyn Strickland, Mayor of Tacoma
