The Grassroots Summit Closing Ceremony will take place at the newly opened Hyatt Regency Lake Washington in Renton, WA. People from all 14 local sessions across Washington State gather together for this farewell program to reflect on and celebrate their experiences. Guests will be able to gaze at the Boeing Factory planes on the shores of Lake Washington’s beautiful Southport while enjoying a buffet reception.

We expect government, school, and sister city representatives from the Summit’s fifteen local sessions to attend.

King5 News Anchor, Lori Matsukawa, will act as event emcee. She received the “Lifetime Achievement Award” from the Asian American Journalists Association (2005), was inducted into the University of Washington Communication Department’s Alumni Hall of Fame (2012) and in 2014, was inducted into NATAS Northwest’s Silver Circle for Lifetime Achievement.

草の根交流サミットクロージング式典は、昨年ニューオープンしたハイアット・リージェンシー・レイク・ワシントンで行われます。クロージング式典はホストファミリーや、地域の方々などといった、サミット開催にご協力いただいたすべての方にに感謝を伝えるためのものです。ゲストの方々は、ブッフェとともに、ワシントン湖の美しい南湖畔にあるボーイング社の飛行機の風景を楽しむことができます。

式典では、ディナーや様々な人との交流の機会が設けられるほか、ゲストと地域のグループによるプレゼンテーションが行われます。式典には、政府や学校、姉妹都市の代表が１５のサミットの地域団体の方々も出席します。
